Zachary's Bar MItzvah

There are way too many wonderful things to say about about Zach and his family.  They are very punctual (which I love!!), they are excellent at following directions (which I also love!) and they clearly adore their son.  This was Zach's night! From the hermit crab racing (how awesome is that?) to the magnificently decorated room, not a single detail was missed.  More important than anything is the pride and love Zach's parents have for their son .  It was a elegant, fun, hip, thrilling night that we loved being a part of.  Congratulations Zach!

Matt's Promise Event

A few years ago, I met the terrific Jen Wiederkehr-Rothberg.  Jen hired me to create a documentary about her late husband, Matt.  Matt was only 34 when he passed away from colon cancer.  He felt strongly about starting a charity that would benefit young people who were also fighting terminal diseases.  Matt's Promise was born from that wish.  Please take a minute and check out the Matt's Promise website to learn more about the many ways this charity helps kids in need.   Thursdays event honored the amazing group from Darius Goes West.  The story of Darius (who suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy) and his friends who travel with him across the country to get his wheelchair pimped out on MTV's Pimp My Ride, is simply inspirational.  Go onto their website and purchase the DVD.  It is awesome!  

There were so many special moments from the event, but the performance by SQUEEZE was definitely a highlight!  They rocked...  Another favorite moment was when LL Cool J showed up to surprise Darius who is a huge fan.  

From the live auctions, the incredible Cipriani Wall Street, the emotional speeches and great crowd (we always love seeing friends and familiar faces at the parties we shoot), the evening was a huge success.  We loved being a part of it and hope to donate our photography services again next year!

Shooting With Sydney...

How awesome is it to photograph a performer?  Sydney is a great singer and loves to be in front of the camera! Not only is Sydney absolutely adorable, she is game for anything.  We dragged her all over and there was not one complaint.  We can't wait to photograph her Bat Mitzvah in a few weeks!
